The PESGaming Database leak occurred in 2016, compromising 226,156 records. The leak included sensitive information such as email addresses, usernames, and passwords. On top of that, the attackers also managed to obtain IP addresses, making it a significant data breach.
According to reports, PESGaming, a Brazilian e-commerce platform specializing in gaming-related products, left their databases vulnerable to unauthorized access. An individual or group of individuals capitalized on this vulnerability and made off with the sensitive data, which was then shared online.
The leaked data included everything from usernames and email addresses to hashed passwords. As a result, users who had accounts on PESGaming were left exposed to potential identify theft, hacking, and other cyber threats.
