In 2015, the Abandonia website suffered a massive data breach that resulted in the exposure of 776,125 user records. The leaked information included user profile data, personal information, and password hashes.
The breach was discovered by researchers at the security firm Trustwave, who found that the Abandonia website had been compromised by attackers who had gained access to its user database.
